ALL four of the schools in the Avonbourne Trust have been rated as Good following Ofsted inspections.

Avonbourne College, Avonbourne Sixth Form and Avonwood Primary were all visited by government inspectors last month.

Harewood College was judged as Good during an inspection in 2015.

Lead inspector Kathy Maddocks said: "The chief executive officer is an excellent role model for leaders and staff at the school.

"Pupils benefit from this because the staff are committed to providing them with a worthwhile education that prepares them well for the future.

"Leaders have ensured that the high expectations are reflected in social and extra-curricular activities. The development in this area is exceptional in some cases."

CEO Debbie Godfrey-Phaure said: "We are all absolutely thrilled that every academy in the trust is a Good school.

"We are proud that the inspectors recognised how ambitious we are for all our children, right from reception through to sixth form."

Inspectors said Avonbourne College needs to monitor attendance and to monitor pupils with lower ability more rigorously.
