DORCHESTER Town assistant-manager Trevor Senior hopes the Magpies can build a 90-minute performance when Biggleswade Town visit the Avenue Stadium in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division tomorrow (3pm).

Steve Thompson’s men have responded to a 2-0 loss at home to Banbury by picking up a draw and a win against Basingstoke Town.

Heading into the fixture against the 16th-placed Waders, who have lost their past four league away games, Senior was consequently buoyed by the Magpies’ resolve since losing to the Puritans two weeks ago.

He told Echosport: “We’ve had one defeat in the last six with three draws, two wins and a defeat against Banbury.

“It was good that we bounced back from that loss. Again on Saturday it was a good second half performance but we want to play for 90 minutes, that’ll be the aim.

“We didn’t play badly against Basingstoke, but now it’s just a case of putting the two together with the same level of performance for two 45 minutes.”

Senior, a former Reading forward, also revealed his delight for striker Phil Ormrod, who bagged two goals against Basingstoke.

He said: “I was pleased with Phil on Saturday to get a couple of goals. Hopefully that will be a boost.

“Me being a centre-forward I know what it’s like. If he can get on a roll of goalscoring form it will help his confidence, but you can’t fault his workrate.”

Dorchester are to set to miss striker Rory Fallon (hamstring) for the match, while Luke Winsper (knee & ankle) is also a doubt.

“Rory is obviously going to be struggling with a hamstring. Luke I would say he’ll be doubtful.

“We’ve got a big squad and we had four or five people left out of the squad on Saturday who will want to get in the 16 this week.”
