A PERSON has been found with drugs and a knife in Bournemouth town centre.
Bournemouth Police responded to reports of a ‘disturbance’ in the Lower Gardens on Saturday.
Officers stopped one individual, and after a search, drugs were located on them.
A knife was also located with use of a metal detector.
The individual was transported to custody, and they are said to be assisting police with inquiries.
When officers were called to the ‘disturbance’, they were given directions from town centre CCTV.
“This is another example of how technology is helping police tackle crime in our communities”, said Bournemouth Police.
Also on Saturday, officers assisted searches for a missing person with dementia and responded to reports of broken-down vehicles.
