EXCLUSIVE London nightclub Amika has leapt on board as a sponsor of this summer’s Beach Polo Championships at Sandbanks, Poole.

The prestigious Kensington High Street club will also sponsor the England Beach Polo team when they take on international competition during the golden sands event on July 8/9.

And the club, favoured by such names as Jennifer Lopez, Diddy, Rihanna, Naomi Campbell, as well as royalty and stars of cinema and TV, will be hosting the Saturday night party.

Launched in 2007, the club’s trademark soundtrack is Modern House, Commercial Dance and New York Style Electro.

“Sandpolo are delighted that Amika London will be bringing a spectacular party experience to Sandbanks on the final day of the beach polo this summer,” said event organiser Johnny Wheeler.

Among polo-playing participants looking forward to the after-play fun is Jack Kidd, a well-known party animal.

“Amika is one of my favourite London clubs. Can’t wait,” he said.

Richard Austin Rees, Amika branding director, said: “Amika London have made a commitment to the 2011 polo season and other high profile society events and associations.

“However this year’s Sandbanks Beach Polo British Championship is by far the highlight of our summer season, and the event we are most looking forward to hosting.”

The most talented national and international polo players will be competing for the championship title over the two days and the Oakley Professional Beach Volleyball will also be played out on the sands.

A popular feature is the 4x4/polo pony charity race which helps raise money for the supported charities the Heaton Ellis Trust and Julia's House.
