A 23-YEAR-OLD cyclist is in hospital with a "nasty" head injury after a collision with a car in Bournemouth.
The man, from Bournemouth, sustained serious injuries in the incident as he rode around the Lansdowne roundabout at around 22.25pm on Tuesday, July 24.
He was thrown up into the air during the collision with a black Mercedes car, driven by a 35-year-old Southbourne man.
The cyclist, who was on a white and yellow bike, was kept under observation in hospital overnight.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "He came down on to the kerb of the roundabout and sustained a very nasty head injury."
An investigation has been launched.
WPC Vivienne Bedford is appealing for witnesses, or anyone who saw the car or the bike before the collision, to call the non-emergency line 101.
