TRIBUTES have been paid to a former Bournemouth schoolboy killed in a hit-and-run crash.

Kyle Coen, 14, suffered fatal injuries when he was knocked off his bike in Sittingbourne, Kent, having moved there a year ago.

A 27-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man being questioned over the incident have been bailed by police in Kent.

It happened as the teenager cycled to his girlfriend Donna Clarke’s house.

Yesterday she tearfully laid flowers at the roadside crash spot, revealing that she believes she saw the grey Fiat that went on to kill Kyle while she was waiting for him to meet her.

Ms Clarke, 14, said: “Kyle was really lovely. He was the best boyfriend you could have. I don’t want anyone to forget about him.

“He was always caring. Hopefully he will look down on us.”

Best friend Alex Stock, 14, said: “I’m really upset. I can’t believe it. We had plans to go out today but obviously it can’t happen now. I’ve just been crying since it happened.”

Friends from Kyle’s old school, Oakmead College of Technology , in West Howe, spoke of their grief yesterday. Jadie Robyn Glass said: “R.I.P Kyle you will never be forgotten! Sleep tight.”

Many paid their respects on social networking sites.

@AlfieEssex posted: “It’s a horrible thing that’s happened and it shouldn’t have happened.

“He is an amazing person and our thoughts are with his family.”

Another tweet read: “We want justice for Kyle Coen.”

Dr Annetta Minard, executive headteacher at Oakmead: “We are very sorry to hear the sad news about Kyle.

“He was only at Oakmead for a term before moving out of the area but he made many friends during his time with us.

“Our thoughts are with his family at this very distressing time.”
