ASSISTANT-MANAGER Nick Crittenden insists the Magpies are targeting a maximum six points from their Bank Holiday weekend fixtures, starting with their home game against Cambridge City at the Avenue tomorrow (3pm).

The former Yeovil Town and Chelsea man is a doubt for the clash against City, as well as Dorchester’s eagerly anticipated derby against Weymouth on Monday, with an Achilles injury.

But the 37-year-old has faith in the momentum the side have built since their impressive win, their first of the campaign at Banbury last weekend.

He told Echosport: “It’s a good game for us to be at home against Cambridge. Hopefully we can get another win, a good performance, and take it into Monday.

“We are looking for a big performance to use it as a springboard for Monday.

“We are targeting six points (from the two games) and we are full of confidence. Last Saturday we thought was a really good performance at Banbury, we are looking to replicate that.”

Cambridge currently sit 23rd in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division, one spot below Dorchester, with just three draws to show from their opening five fixtures.

The Magpies are hopeful that Ben Wood will be fit, Chris Dillon is still monitoring his groin problem and Tony Lee will be assessed.
