FOLLOWING on from the club’s toughest season in its 10-year history, changes have been made to the set-up at Portland Town FC.

Former club secretary Andy Barber felt a change was needed and made the decision to step down from his position - Colin Judge has taken over that role and promoted Dean Ginifer to be his assistant.

Former first-team manager John Chester made the difficult decision to step down, and he has been replaced by Kieron Neilson-Howes.

The club’s reserves will re-enter the league next season with Paul Barber taking over as manager and Alex Counter will be his assistant. The A team will be managed by Chris Ginifer.

In a reversal of positions, Counter will take over the veterans’ side, with Paul Barber his assistant.

n The club are also pleased to announce two new kit sponsors for the upcoming season.

Motatec Ltd and CBA Scaffolding are kit sponsors for the reserves and A team respectively, and the club would like to thank them for their generosity.

Following the sad death of club groundsman and youth manager Garry Gale, the club have made the decision to rename their ground, formerly the Billiards Boutique Bowl, it will now be known as Gale Park.

The club are still looking for ground sponsorship and if anyone would like to sponsor the ground from as a little as £5 a month, please contactportlandtownfc@hotmail.co.uk
