BALTI SPORTS 4

WAREHAM RANGERS 0

MANAGER Marco Nott is looking to “change it up” ahead of Balti Sports’ trip to Bridport Reserves in the Dorset Premier League tonight (7.45pm).

With a loaded August fixture schedule, Nott is wary of “legginess” and fatigue setting in after his side’s 4-0 win over Wareham Rangers at Weymouth College on Saturday.

Nott, whose side leads the standings after five games, told Echosport that changes would be made ahead of Sports’ clash with the Bees to help “freshen” the team.

He said: “We quite enjoy going down there. It’s a nice set-up and a nice big pitch. We’ll probably change it up because of the legginess in the players, try and freshen it up to get a bit more energy going forward.

“We’ve just got to keep that momentum going if we can, it’s key. It’s important to get another result.

And Nott will be “taking nothing for granted” against Bridport, who lie in 13th having played four games.

“Bridport are always a good side. If we can get a result it will be great. They’re a good side and we’ll be taking nothing for granted,” he said.

Ricky Lane, Oscar Preece, Andy Nott and Simon Proffitt all return for Balti, but Jason Pearce misses out.

Balti go into the game having enjoyed another handsome win in their previous game, this time over Wareham Rangers.

With just 13 players available, Balti were dealt a blow when defender Matt Roberts went off injured after just five minutes. But Nott was pleased with his team’s response to that early blow.

“We had a tough game at Swanage on Wednesday and there were some tired legs out there. Matt came off after five minutes and it was a good team effort to get through it.

“We got a goal through Shane Lock who took his chance in the box and it was 1-0 at half-time.

“They sat in the shade at half-time and we thought if we got the second it would kill the game.

“I made a good save and Sammy Nichols scored, their heads completely sunk after that.

“Then Rory Zima came on and was outstanding. He gave us a lot of energy and ran the show for the last half-hour.

“He created a chance which Danny Andrews scored and then he raced through and dinked one over the keeper,” he said.
