WEYMOUTH, Dorchester Town, Bridport and Portland have seen their matches postponed among widespread disruption due to the weather.

All matches in the Toolstation Western Premier Division, Dorset Premier League and the Sydenhams Wessex Premier Division have also been postponed.

Weymouth had been set to host Slough Town while the Magpies had been set to travel to face the Poppies at 3pm tomorrow.

Bridport were set to travel to Brislington but all matches in the league have been postponed.

Balti Sports, Bridport Reserves and Dorchester Sports among others in the league have all had their matches postponed as well following a decision by the Dorset Premier League.

In a statement on Twitter the league said the postponements were made on safety grounds as well as due to the state of the pitches.

Portland had been due to kick-off against the Creeksiders at 3pm tomorrow but the match will now be rearranged.

The decision was taken by the Sydenhams Wessex Premier Division to postpone all matches in the league due to the recent weather conditions.

In a statement on Twitter the league said: "The league has taken the decision to postpone all matches tomorrow.

"This has been made not only because of the state of pitches but also on safety grounds with regards to travel.

"All clubs due to play at home are asked to advise the appointed match officials of the postponement."

Meanwhile, a South Dorset Spurs' legends evening that was set to take place at the Greenhill Bowling Club in Weymouth this evening has also been postponed.
