A MAN was treated for stab wounds following an altercation in Poole on Saturday evening.

The incident happened at around 8.20pm in Aspen Gardens.

Police were called to the scene and, upon their arrival, found a man who had been stabbed. He was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries and has since been discharged.

Following a search of the area, a 22-year-old man from Wimborne was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and affray and is currently assisting officers with enquiries.

Detectives are still looking for a second man in connection with the incident.

Detective Inspector Kate Lill, of Bournemouth CID, said: "We've been making a number of enquiries since the incident and a full investigation remains ongoing to establish exactly what happened."
