ARMED police were called to a property in Poole after concerns were raised about a man on a roof who had a suspected weapon.
The incident happened in Bovington Close in the Canford Heath area on Friday evening.
Officers requested the help of firefighters to help remove the man safely from the roof.
Paramedics were also called to check him for any injuries.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We were called to reports of a concern for welfare of a male at an address in Bovington Close. "The reason armed officers attended is that there were reports the male may have had a weapon.
"He was safely removed from the address and checked over by the ambulance service. He was then arrested."
