WEYMOUTH & Portland coach Simon Litster has described his side’s battle at Oakmeadians as “the battle for third place” ahead of tomorrow’s clash in Wadworth 6X Dorset & Wilts One South at Meyrick Park.

The Seahorses completed their first double of the season against Blandford last Saturday, with a dominant 57-0 victory and will look to again beat a side that they defeated 21-10 at home earlier on in the season.

Litster said: “Third and fourth, the battle for third place.

“It is up there obviously, last time we played up there it was a horrible day and it is a very heavy pitch when it has been raining, so we are hoping the rain will hold off and it will be like this weather because I think that will suit us.

“They are not easy to beat, they play a very similar game to us. They have a big pack and like running with the ball in close quarters.

“So I think it will be quite a battle and I can expect it to be a fairly close score but I would be quietly confident that we can come away with our second double of the season.”

There is a selection dilemma for Litster, with Billy and Dan Hayne returning for the Seahorses.

Litster added: “I think it is a strong squad we will field.”

Injury-wise the Seahorses are fine, barring knocks to Hywel Davis (knee), Norton Rogers (head injury) Scott White (knee).
