WEYMOUTH and Portland co-coach Simon Litster is grateful for a week off as his side prepare to host Puddletown in the Dorset & Wilts One South tomorrow.

The last time the two sides met it ended in a 41-31 victory for Weymouth in Puddletown, and Litster is expecting it to be a well-contested game.

The Seahorses currently sit fifth in the table, but suffered a 45-10 humbling at Oakmeadians last time out.

Litster said: “It is good that we have had a week off, I’m sure it will be good for both teams to get over niggly injuries and work on a couple of things that we need to work on.

“I think the result against Oakmeadians probably taught us a good lesson and the lads have responded well in training.

“The mood is good, I am sure it will be a well-contested match.”

Harry Boccio is a doubt for the clash at the Villagers, while Scott White will be out with knee ligament damage.
