JOSH McQuoid has agreed terms to stay at Weymouth for their forthcoming 2019/20 season in the National League South.
McQuoid joined the Terras towards the end of pre-season last year, but went on to have an injury-hit year for the Terras.
He starred in the 5-0 demolition of Dorchester in August, but saw his season curtailed by injury, but he made it back for the 1-1 draw with Chesham United as the Terras took the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South title.
McQuoid is managing the Weymouth supporters’ team, as they take on a Dorchester fans’ team at the Clayson Stadium to raise money for the Campaign Against Living Miserably this afternoon (2pm).
Terras’ Director of Football Paul Maitland said: “Obviously when he came in last pre-season it was purely to keep himself ticking over.
“We were fortunate that because of the way we do things and the way that we train it made it a little bit more appealing to him, and we were fortunate enough to be able to sign him.
“Then obviously just as he was starting to hit his stride he picked up an unfortunate knee injury and robbed us of him for most of the season.
“What we found over the course of the season is a player who is very committed to the cause, very appreciative of the support that he received from the club and for us it was an absolute no brainer to try and get him to stay for another season.
“We are obviously absolutely delighted that he is.
“A fit Josh McQuoid will be a big player for us in the National League South.”
