RESIDENTS in Poole can now make use of a new waste collection service.
BCP Council has introduced a grab bag service for people with smaller quantities of rubbish, including soil and rubble, or where there is not room for a skip.
Residents will need to purchase a bag from the council and, when they have filled it, call and pay for a collection of the grab bag from their property.
The grab bag measures 90cm x 90cm x 90cm.
The bag must be placed on your property within four metres of the highway, ensuring there are no overhead obstructions, the council states.
As well as soil and rubble, grab bags can be used for general mixed waste and garden waste.
Types of items that will not be accepted include:
- electrical items
- toxic substances
- sharp/hazardous materials
- fridges or freezers
- tyres
- car batteries
- asbestos or plasterboard.
