ORGANISERS of Blandford's new Repair Cafe are calling for more skilled volunteers to get involved.
The very first Blandford Repair Cafe event took place earlier this month.
Visitors can bring along damaged items, which are repaired, if possible, by a team of local volunteers, to reduce unnecessary waste.
Organiser Eleana Lewis said: "There was a fantastic atmosphere at the first Blandford Repair Cafe, with people talking to each other, sharing their knowledge and staying for a cup of tea and a piece of cake.
"We had a carpenter, seamstresses, free plant exchange, electrician and someone who could advise on computers.
"Now we want to encourage more people to get involved, whether they’re professionals or DIY enthusiasts."
A leaf blower, vacuum cleaner, a child's electrical game and a pair of trousers were among the items repaired at the cafe.
The next Blandford Repair Cafe event will be held at the Royal British Legion, Blandford, on July 6, from 12.30-3pm.
