A BOURNEMOUTH University student took his own life at the foot of cliffs near Swanage despite appearing to be happy to friends and family members, an inquest heard.
Lyutfi Lyutfiev had not sought medical advice or help and had not told anyone of his intentions, Assistant Dorset Coroner Brendan Allen was told.
But, after his death, a study of his laptop revealed he had been searching for information about suicide and death in the months leading up to his death.
A Bournemouth inquest heard that Mr Lyutfiev, 21, had taken a year out of his studies at Bournemouth and was living in Didcot with his parents.
He was working in a warehouse at the time of his death in October last year.
The inquest was told Mr Lyutfiev's body was spotted by climbers on the morning of October 21.
His body was recovered after a "technically challenging" operation by coastguards, RNLI crews, police and paramedics.
A post mortem examination revealed he died of blood loss due to severe cuts to his arms.
His body was found on a boulder near the foot of cliffs at Cattle Troughs, near Anvil Point.
It is believed he had scrambled down cliffs to an isolated location before taking his own life.
Mr Allen recorded a conclusion of suicide.
