A MECHANIC died after falling from a ladder and hitting his head.
Stephen Alcorn, 68, of Ringwood Road, Bournemouth fell around 15ft on Friday July 12, a Bournemouth inquest heard.
Assistant Dorset Coroner Brendan Allen heard that Mr Alcorn, who was married to Jane, was taken to Southampton Hospital but suffered fits before his arrival and had dilated pupils.
Doctors said he had unsurvivable head injuries and he died peacefully in hospital the following day with his family by his side.
A post mortem examination was carried out and the cause of Mr Alcorn's death was given as traumatic subdural haemorrhage.
The inquest was adjourned until January 28 next year to allow for further inquiries to be carried out.
