DORCHESTER Town have confirmed the departure of Antonio Diaz by mutual consent.
The attacking midfielder joined the Magpies on a permanent basis last season having initially signed on loan from AFC Bournemouth in December 2017.
Diaz scored 11 goals in 38 games last season but played 16 times in the current campaign without netting.
In a statement on the Magpies’ website, manager Callum Brooks said: “Following a chat with Antonio a few weeks ago where I explained his opportunities would be more limited this season due to a couple of reasons, Antonio felt that he needed a new challenge.
“I have enjoyed working with Antonio who was instrumental in our survival late last season and didn’t want to stand in his way.
“I wish Antonio all the best and thank him for his efforts during my time at the club.”
Dorchester are next in action at home to Walton Casuals in the BetVictor Southern Premier South on Saturday (3pm).
