If you take a stroll down to the beach this evening, you may notice something different about one of Bournemouth’s famous landmarks.
Bournemouth Pier will be glow green this evening, in support of the NSPCC’s ‘Light for Every Childhood’ Christmas campaign.
The pier will be illuminated in the charity’s trademark colour from this evening until the end of the month to raise awareness of the nature and scale of abuse and neglect faced by those children for whom Christmas may not be such a joyful time.
Fundraising Manager for the NSPCC in Dorset, Caroline Morgan, said: “It will no doubt be an impressive site for residents and visitors to the area.
“We are extremely grateful for the support they have given this important campaign that will raise awareness of those children who may be going through the toughest of times.”
