Elderly man rescued from early hours property fire and taken to hospital
AN ELDERLY man was rescued from a fire and taken to hospital in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters from Sturminster Newton and Blandford used two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
They were called to a property in Bath Road, Sturminster Newton at 1.22am and discovered a fire in the lounge.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
