POLICE in Poole ran errands for a vulnerable man after discovering he was unable to get out shopping.
Officers were called this morning after neighbours became concerned when they could not get an answer at the man's door.
A Poole police spokesman said: "Luckily the man was safe and isolating but unable to get out to do shopping. The officers bought some essentials for him and referred him to partner agencies."
Poole Police shared the story on Twitter and it has received 5,000 likes and around 600 retweets.
Scores of followers praised the officers for their actions.
