A MAN arrested on suspicion of raping a woman at a bed and breakfast in Bournemouth has been released on police bail.
Police were called to reports of a rape at an address in Knole Road, Boscombe, in the early hours of Saturday, January 13.
Dorset Police received a report at 5.49am a woman had been raped by a man.
A 37-year-old man from Christchurch was arrested on suspicion of rape.
Giving an update on January 15, a Dorset Police spokesperson said: “The arrested man has been released on police bail as enquiries continue.”
Police previously said the victim is being supported by specially-trained officers.
Residents reported seeing police, a doctor’s car, and an ambulance in the area on Saturday.
A cordon was put in place at the address and police said there would be an increased police presence in the area.
