TWO men sustained serious stab wounds after a fight in Boscombe

The men, aged in their 20s and 30s from Bournemouth and Poole, were taken to hospital for treatment.

Their injuries are described as serious, but not life-threatening.

The fight occurred at around 8.55pm on Monday, January 29 in Christchurch Road in Boscombe precinct.

A cordon was seen as officers began an investigation into the incident.

Two 21-year-old men from Bournemouth were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

An additional two men, aged 22 and 24 and from Bournemouth, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Bell, of BCP CID, said: “Our investigation is in the early stages and following initial enquiries, we believe this was a targeted incident involving people who are known to each other and there was no wider threat to the public.

“We have conducted fast-time CCTV and forensic enquiries in the area, but we are also very keen to hear from any member of the public who may have witnessed what happened or have information to assist our enquiries.

“A cordon remains in place and there will be an increased police presence while the investigation continues, and we would like to thank the public for their patience while enquiries are conducted in the area.

“Officers from local neighbourhood policing teams can be approached by anyone with information or concerns.”
