A BOURNEMOUTH road was closed yesterday evening as firefighters worked to stop a gas leak.
Three fire engines, including ones from Springbourne, Westbourne and Christchurch, raced to Boscombe Spa Road at 5pm on Saturday, February 24.
A road block was put in place by police officers while firefighters located the gas leak.
A spokeswoman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters gained entry to a flat and worked with the gas board to isolate the supply.”
The firefighters also worked to make sure everything was safe. There were no injuries or casualties.
Residents were unsure what was going on as they stood outside their homes in the road. Meanwhile cars were having to turn around.
A stop came in at 5.37pm.
