POLICE are searching for vandals who sprayed offensive graffiti on a recreational cricket pavilion and shop in Wareham.

Between 1.30am and 2am on February 19, damage was caused to the walls of the Wareham Recreation Ground cricket pavilion and a shop in South Street.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward while investigations take place.

Police constable Stuart Wilson, of Wareham police, said: “We are conducting enquiries into this incident.

“I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of West Street or Wareham town centre between 1.30am and 1.40am on the night of the incident.

“I would also urge residents and motorists in the area to check any available home CCTV cameras or dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything that might assist our enquiries.”
