TWO men went to hospital with injuries after a fight in the early hours of the morning.

It was reported that at around 2.25am on Sunday, April 21 that a fight broke out between two groups of people between The Crown Hotel in West Street, and The Greyhound in Market Place, Blandford.

Dorset Police officers attended and spoke to the groups at the scene.

During the fight, one man sustained a fractured eye socket and a second man sustained facial injuries.

Both went to hospital for treatment.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following the assault in Blandford.

Police constable James Owen, of North Dorset police, said: “I am carrying out enquiries to establish what happened and would ask any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.

“If you have information about those believed to be involved, please get in touch.”
