POOLE BOROUGH 0
DORCHESTER SPORTS 3
DORCHESTER Sports had to wait until the second half to break down a well-drilled Poole in their Dorset Senior Trophy encounter.
They could have taken the lead on 15 minutes after Will Turland was fouled in the box, but Jamie Symes penalty was well saved.
The away side also hit the woodwork twice but the best chance fell to the home side but Poole’s Antony Frost saved well to keep the scores level.
Early in the second half, Poole had another golden chance to level but their shot looped just over.
Dorchester then upped their game and got the breakthrough when Symes shot was again well saved but Turland was there to tap in from close range.
Sports then doubled their lead when Turland headed in for his brace before a quick counter attack was finished off by Jamie Samways to send Sports through.
Sports: Frost, Heal, Steele, Read, Lochrie, Symes, White (Churchill 75), Hewitt (Will 60), Gatehouse (Beasley 60), Turland, Samways
