Football: Terras and Magpies live updates

Our live feed has now finished.

  • Aidan Williams and Neil Walton are on hand to provide live updates as Weymouth face Royston Town at the Bob Lucas Stadium while Dorchester are away against Stratford Town in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division.
  • Weymouth were away to Royston Town less than three weeks ago in a fixture that was postponed in December due to Royston’s involvement in their county cup.
  • In the event Weymouth won 2-1 coming back from an early John Frendo goal thanks to two goals from Brandon Goodship in the second half.
  • Weymouth are currently on a four match winning run that has seen them score 14 goals and concede just two in that time.
  • Josh Carmichael and Abdulai Baggie missed the 3-1 against St Neots Town last weekend with a knee problem and a tight hamstring respectively but should be available for the match today.
  • Mark Cooper will also be assessed but should be available for the Terras, having been on the bench last weekend and featured for Melksham Town in their 4-1 win against Longwell Green Sports on Monday.
  • Meanwhile Dorchester come into the game at Stratford Town chasing an elusive league win on the road. The Magpies have failed to secure all three points since Steve Thompson’s first game in charge – a 1-0 victory at struggling Dunstable Town in mid-September.
  • But in Stratford the Magpies face a side that is winless in their past four home league games, as Thompson’s men look to bag what would be their second league away win in 18 games this season.
  • Should they win and results go their way, Dorchester could rise as high as 16th from their current position of 18th in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division, while today’s opponents Stratford are four points and four places above them.
  • The Magpies are expected to name new signing Lewis Leigh-Gilchrist in their matchday squad, while last week’s debutant goalscorer Ashley Pope will be aiming to add to his impressive start at the Avenue.
  • Phil Ormrod is still out with osteitis pubis, while Ollie Griggs has been loaned to Brockenhurst for a month and Cameron Ebbutt has returned to Bristol Rovers from his one-month loan spell.
