DORCHESTER Sports’ boss Ashley James feels the time is right to visit Westland Sports in the Dorset Premier League tomorrow (3pm).

Last time out, Westland lost 3-0 to Hamworthy Rec and James believes the defeat could signal a vulnerability.

He told Echosport: “It’s not an easy place to go, that’s for sure. They lost 3-0 on Saturday so maybe it’s quite a good time to go there and get a good result.

“It’s always been 50/50 with Westland. We’ve beaten them the last two times at home.

“We were 1-0 up against them last year at half-time, unfortunately we lost the game 3-1 when we lost our goalkeeper to injury. We can beat anyone on our day but we’ll have to be at our best.

“Confidence is high and we should have fresh legs. We always back ourselves to win any game. I think we can go there and give them a good game.”

James’ men are boosted by the return of goalkeeper Anthony Frost and centre-back Pat Thomas, while fellow centre-half Lloyd Beals is also available.

James said: “(Frost and Thomas) we’ve missed for the longest period, it will be a massive boost for us.”

Dorchester Sports Reserves visit Mere Town in the Dorset Senior League (3pm).
