DORCHESTER Sports’ boss Ashley James proclaimed a change of formation is due for his side ahead of their trip to Holt United in the Dorset Premier League tomorrow (3pm).

During pre-season, James’ men deployed a 3-5-2 line-up but were forced to readdress their shape following injuries in the key centre-back and wing-back areas.

However, a near full-strength squad has allowed Sports to revert to this summer’s preferred formation ready to tackle the Bulls.

James told Echosport: “It’s never easy going to Holt. It’s a tough, physical place to go. We’re going to have to be at our best, we’ve got a lot of work to do.

“We won there last year 1-0 but we’ve got to stop conceding goals, that’s our main issue at the moment. The rest will come.”

He added: “We’re going to change formation slightly and hopefully go with lots of confidence.

“We played 3-5-2 during the summer in pre-season and we changed it just before (the season) because we didn’t have certain personnel – centre-backs and wing-backs. We played it all pre-season.

“We’re going to put in an extra defender – I’d imagine Holt will play two up front.”

Sole absentee Ryan Ross misses out, but will return next week.
