DORCHESTER Sports will be aiming to erase memories of a 5-1 defeat to Hamworthy Recreation last time out and bounce back when they travel to Swanage Town & Herston in the Dorset Premier League tomorrow (3pm).

The defeat to Hamworthy, which saw Gareth Will score in the second half, was Sports’ biggest defeat so far this season but Swanage represents a chance for them to get back on track.

Sports manager Ashley James said: “It is another difficult away game, Swanage is never an easy place to go. They are a big, physical side.

“Hopefully we can bounce back from last week’s disappointment and get another vital three points.

When asked what he has said to his side following the big defeat, James said: “Keep their heads up, a few teams are going to go there and get the same as what we got.

To me they are the best team in the league, we did not do ourselves any favours but we know we are a lot better than that.

We will take the positives from the previous two games more than the negatives from last weekend.

Sports have Jamie Rawlings back for them, but Ben Thomas misses out and Jamie Samways will be out for six weeks with a broken thumb.

Sports are currently ninth in the table, with 21 points from 12 games, while Swanage sit 12th.

The Dorchester side are still in reasonable form, with three wins from their past five matches.

Swanage meanwhile, are winless in their last four games, the nadir of which was a 7-0 hammering at the hands of Blandford in the Dorset Premier League Cup first round.

The two sides were rivals in the table last year, with Sports finishing sixth, one place and five points ahead of Swanage.
