BALTI Sports were thrashed 6-0 at Parley Sports to bring a dramatic end to their 11-game unbeaten run in the Dorset Premier League.

Sports saw Sammy Nichols sinbinned for dissent in the latter stages of the first half and saw Josh Burton and Ethan Devaney both go off injured during the clash, while Harry White bagged a second-half hat-trick for the hosts.

Balti started well and for the first 40 minutes controlled the match effectively.

However, the loss of Nichols for 10 minutes in the 35th minute knocked Balti and Parley pounced to take full advantage.

Burton then went down injured leaving Balti down to nine men temporarily.

Parley scored twice from corners late on in the half, with the ball being swung in, headed away to the edge of the box before being rifled into the net by Jack Voisey.

Landon Arthur then nipped in to tuck the ball in during injury time for Parley as they ended the half 2-0 up.

The second period saw Josh Moody and White introduced for the hosts and the two scored four goals between them.

White broke away three times, in the 63rd, 68th and 82nd minute to secure his treble, while Moody added a further goal after 89 minutes.

Balti had chances through Devaney earlier on in the match but never managed to ripple the Parley net.

Other efforts for the visitors did not trouble the Parley goalkeeper, with strikes flying over the bar.

The match ended 6-0 with Balti unable to make a late dent in the scoreline.

Balti boss Marco Nott said: “It was a very strange game really.

“It is shocking, we lost 6-0 it is not really good enough.

“I did not even feel that we played that badly, to be honest, we just got punished by a ruthless Parley.

“Every time we seemed to go forward they scored, especially in the second half.

“I would not even say it was a bad performance really.”

As a result, Balti are third in the table, while the result boosts Parley to sixth in the table, two points behind Balti.

Balti travel to Wimborne Town Development for their Dorset Senior Trophy second-round clash on Saturday (1.30pm).
