OFFICIAL Tottenham Hotspur supporters’ club South Dorset Spurs are set to host their latest special night for members with Spurs’ legends David Howells and Paul Miller gracing proceedings.

Howells and Miller will join event host Phil Beal, himself a former Tottenham defender, for a question and answer session at the Portland Masonic Hall tomorrow (7pm).

The evening is the second to be held at the popular Chiswell venue this year after Argentina heroes Ossie Ardiles and Ricky Villa, the latter travelling from Buenos Aires for the occasion, visited the group during the summer.

Previous guest speakers invited to attend a legends evening with South Dorset Spurs include Micky Hazard, Keith Burkinshaw and Ray Clements.

The night is designed to help raise money for children’s bereavement charity Mosaic.

Funds have also been raised in the past for various charities dealing with prostate cancer, plus Revitalize, Save, Musgrove Hospital and others.

Howells, Miller and Beal are all major trophy winners with the North London side, Beal having won the UEFA Cup in 1972.

Howells made over 300 appearances for Tottenham and formed part of the Spurs’ side that beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 in the 1991 FA Cup final.

Miller is also an FA Cup victor with Tottenham, winning in 1981 and 1982 before going on to score a goal in the 1983/84 UEFA Cup triumph over Anderlecht.

Doors open at 6.30pm for the evening.
