WEYMOUTH are set to sign Cameron Murray from Ridgeway rivals Dorchester Town subject to paperwork going through, Echosport understands.

Murray joins ahead of Weymouth's clash against Ramsbottom United tomorrow, and was originally scheduled to be facing Farnborough with the Magpies on the same evening.

In a statement, Dorchester Town said: "Discussions with Cameron have taken place over the last three or four weeks, however, Cameron felt that the opportunity to join a team that is challenging for automatic promotion to the National League South was too good an opportunity to turn down.

"We would like to thank Cameron for all his efforts whilst at Dorchester Town and wish him well for the future."

Meanwhile, in a statement online, Weymouth said: "Weymouth Football Club are delighted to announce that we have agreed terms to sign Cameron Murray from Dorchester Town, subject to paperwork.

"The 23-year-old versatile midfielder joins the Terras from the Magpies and we look forward to seeing him in action!"
