WEYMOUTH manager Mark Molesley says his side cannot afford another poor first-half performance, as the Terras prepare to travel to Hendon in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South this evening (7.45pm).

The Terras’ boss was referring to his side’s display against Kings Langley on Saturday, which saw them a goal down and it could have been two if not for a superb stop from debutant Chris Lewington.

Molesley said: “Every team presents a tough challenge, you saw with Kings Langley, they are the in-form team in the league, I think they would be top of the table with the last 10 games. They showed what a good side they are.

“Hendon are similar, they were up at the top reaches of the table, they have just dropped off a little bit lately but they are obviously a good side. They did not go to near the top of the league for no reason.

“They will be looking to get back so it is another tough game against another good side and we are going to have to be right at it and we cannot afford to have another poor first-half performance.”

While Langley were in form, Hendon are very much not, sitting second from bottom in the form table over the past 10 games with just one league win in that time.

Molesley said: “We are usually good on the road so like I said we have got everything to fight for, everything to still look forward to. There is a lot of stuff we need to work on.

“We have got to take the positives out of it (the draw against Kings Langley). It was a poor first half, a good second half and we have just got to see more of the second half.

Tiago Sa was added to the injury list on Saturday, and joins Callum Buckley and Sam Sherring among the more recently injured.

When asked about Sa’s injury, Molesley said: “We are not quite getting the rub of the green at the moment with injuries and a couple of decisions and stuff like that but you cannot always control these things and all we can control is how we react to them.”

Buckley, Sa and Sherring are all still being assessed but Molesley hopes their injuries are short term rather than long term.
