DORCHESTER Town and Bridport have seen their respective league matches at Merthyr Town and Cadbury Heath postponed due to heavy snowfall.

Steve Thompson's Magpies had been set to travel to Wales tomorrow, but will now likely face a tough midweek trip upon rearrangement of the fixture.

Meanwhile, Bridport face another midweek fixture after the postponement of their Toolstation Western League Premier Division clash at Cadbury Heath due to a snowed-over pitch.

Adam Fricker's men have already experienced three postponements due to rain, with matches against Bitton, Buckland Athletic and Shortwood falling victim to the elements.

Bridport had been hoping to arrest a run of six defeats in seven league games, but must now wait until facing Cribbs at home on Saturday, February 9 to kick-start their campaign.

The St Mary's Field outfit currently occupy 11th in the standings, while the Shortwood United game has been re-arranged for Saturday, March 9.
