PORTLAND United have seen their Sydenhams Wessex Premier League match against Lymington Town postponed due to a frozen pitch at the Weyline Stadium.

It is the second time in five days that the Blues have seen a clash with Lymington postponed, with Tuesday's trip also having met a similar fate.

This means Portland's wait to avenge their 3-2 defeat to Horndean last time out will run until this coming Tuesday, when they host Shaftesbury.

Their reserves had no match scheduled, and were thus not caught up with the postponements in the Dorset Premier League, which has seen every match postponed due to the weather.
