BALTI Sports’ boss Marco Nott is prepared to babysit on the touchline to fix an availability problem ahead of a trip to Dorset Premier League rivals Shaftesbury Town Reserves tomorrow (2pm).

Nott has doubts over seven players including Scott Walker, whose daughter Nott has jokingly offered to mind in order for his player to take to the field.

Balti are looking to extend a run of six games unbeaten following Saturday’s impressive 2-1 victory over league leaders and reigning champions Hamworthy Recreation.

Nott told Echosport: “Ricky Lane is away, Ethan Devaney is away, Ryan Dovell and Charlie Kenderdine look like they’re going to miss out due to work commitments.

“Simon Proffitt is in Berlin. Phil Anderson’s got a back problem so we’ve got fingers crossed on him.

“Scott might have issues concerning babysitting of his daughter. I think I’ll have to be on babysitting duties! I’ll have to push the pram while I’m in the dugout!

“He texted me saying ‘do you fancy babysitting?’ so it’ll be quite interesting trying to look after a one-year-old while we’re trying to manage the team. Needs must.

“It might be a case of trying to take a couple of the reserves lads if they’ve got enough, just to bolster the squad.”

On playing the Rockies’ second string, Nott added: “Playing a reserve team is always difficult because you don’t know what you’re going to get.

“Shaftesbury’s a place I don’t think we’ve ever won. It’s going to be a difficult game for us and looking at the unavailabilities it’s going to be even more difficult.

“We go there in good form but we’re going to have to be at our best to win, definitely.”
