BRENDON King admits that the 4-1 defeat at Team Solent on Monday gives him food for thought in terms of team selection, as his side prepares to travel to Andover New Street tomorrow in the Sydenhams Wessex Premier Division.

The Blues conceded four goals in a poor second-half display and King says the Blues need to pick themselves up.

“It gives us certainly food for thought on what the team will be, because we freshened it up (against Team Solent), played people, left players out to have a rest because we have got a lot of games coming up. So the idea was refresh a few and unfortunately we were second best on the night.

“We have got to re-group and pick ourselves up for another long trip, but it is what it is.”

King is frustrated with the number of away games that the Blues have had, with Andover the third of a scheduled five consecutive games away from home, although one of those matches was postponed.

King said: “Another away trip that will be three on the bounce, and then we go to Brockenhurst on Tuesday so that will be four away trips on the trot.

“The game against Sholing that was called off, don’t forget that would have been five away games on the bounce.”

When asked if there will be a lot of changes for Andover, King replied: “Yeah maybe, maybe we will see.

“We have got players back as well, Ryan McKechnie is back off suspension, Tom Richardson should be fit so it gives us other options which is good.”

Ryan McKechnie is back from a three-game suspension while Steven Walker will be unavailable.
