BRIDPORT boss Adam Fricker agrees that the team talk sells itself as he prepares his side to travel to Cadbury Heath in the Toolstation Western Premier Division tonight (7.45pm).

Bridport led Wellington 1-0 at half-time on Saturday, but collapsed to a 4-2 defeat and Fricker wants a reaction from his side.

When asked if the team talk sells itself, Fricker replied: “I would like to think so.

“They are an honest bunch of lads and I would like to see a reaction, Dan Peach will be back which I think will make a difference for us and we are hopeful that Lee Sweet will be in the squad for us as well, just helping us out mid-week.

“So we have got a couple of bodies back but it is a tough place to go Cadbury, it really is. So we know we will have to be at our best but certainly without a doubt I will be looking for a reaction that is for sure.”

Fricker thinks it will be too soon for Braeden Symes (knee), while Chris McGrath will be available after picking up a red card on Saturday, but whether he will be available for Friday’s clash at home to Willand Rovers it is not yet clear.

Fricker knows Cadbury boss Andy Black well, having played for him at Frome Town in the past.

Fricker added: “We will be stronger and we will have a couple more options, for me that will be the key.

“We know them and they know us.

“We played them a lot last season in the FA Cup and in the league as well and had some great battles with them.

“I know their manager Andy Black very well because I used to play for him at Frome, we know each other well.

“They are a solid outfit, they have got players who can score goals and hurt you and defensively they can shut up shop when they need to.”
