JUSTIN Faulkner has left his post as manager of Portland United Reserves after four years.

Faulkner oversaw their rise from the Dorset Senior League to their debut Dorset Premier League last season, in which they finished 11th.

In a statement announcing the news, Faulkner said: "It is with sadness that I have to announce that after four years at Portland United FC Reserves, taking them from bottom of the Senior League to mid table of the Dorset Premier League, it is time to move on.

"I am disappointed I can't finish what I started but that is football I guess. I am sure there will be bigger disappointments in life!

"But for now I am going to recharge the batteries ready for the next challenge wherever that may be, if anyone has any exciting challenges in football they need any help with get in contact.

"I'd like to say a massive thank you to supporters who have been superb to me."
