BRIDPORT have revealed Lewis Clarke as the first player to agree terms with the Bees for the upcoming Toolstation Western League Premier Division season.

Striker Clarke had struggled with an ankle injury last campaign when playing for Portland United, making a limited number of appearances.

Clarke will provide competition for incumbent Bees' forwards Mark Salter and Sam Clark should new boss Rich Robson convince the pair to stay put.

So far only one Bridport player has agreed a deal to move elsewhere, with left-back Andy Martin set to make the switch to Western League rivals Shepton Mallet.

In a post on their official Twitter page, Bridport also teased news of further player market activity, tweeting: "Watch this space this week, Lewis Clarke becomes the first Bee of this season's new swarm."
