UNDER the guidance of new manager Josh Jones-Keen, the Dorset Women’s team missed out on the final of the annual Gloucestershire FA Women’s tournament.
On an extremely hot day, Dorset drew their first match, a 0-0 with Devon, before Kelly Snook scored a great individual goal in the 1-1 draw with Gloucestershire.
Needing to beat Somerset in their last group game to make the final, Dorset eventually succumbed to a very good team.
Dorset lost 4-1 but Sammie Seldon scored what proved to be a consolatory goal following more good work from the in-form Snook.
In the tournament final, Somerset beat hosts Gloucestershire to win the trophy.
