PORTLAND United boss Brendan King says it is ‘all about building’ as the Blues prepare to travel to Willand Rovers today.

Rovers were promoted to the Bet Victor Southern League One South last season, a step up above the Blues, and one tier below the Southern Premier South, where Dorchester Town play.

King told Echosport: “It is another step up and then we have got another step up with Dorchester so it is about building. We know what the majority of the players can do, it is about having a look at some of the other lads and what they can do in different formations and different shapes so that is what it is about.

“We will start building them up now in terms of minutes wise now, so yeah it is good.”

Against Bridport the Blues named one trialist, who scored their second goal of the match, and also named Luke King in their squad, who has not yet signed for the club.

King said: “We are not too far away, obviously Luke King played (against Bridport) so we are going to try and get him tied down as soon as we can.

“There is some good things to come out of the Bridport match.”

The Bridport victory also saw Jamie Symes, Mo Hereka and Lance Wilson score in the 4-1 win.
