BRIDPORT boss Jamie Manley will harness the positive atmosphere at the Bees ahead of a testing trip to Street tonight (7.45pm).

Manley’s men will come up against two former star Bridport players in Kameron Andrews and Leighton Thomas – the latter’s goal and celebration in a 3-2 loss to Cribbs going viral on social media this season.

The duo left Bridport in the summer along with former boss Adam Fricker and Manley has been left with a rebuilding job following the departure of Fricker’s successor Rich Robson.

But spirits are high at St Mary’s Field with Manley’s men having claimed two wins in his opening five games in charge – the latest a superb 1-0 win over Hallen on Saturday.

He said: “The atmosphere at the club after the game was brilliant. It’s not just nice for the players to get the three points, it’s nice for the supporters who turn up week in, week out, the committee and everyone involved with the football club.

“It was our first home win of the season. Hopefully we can pick up a few more points home and away and we’ll be really looking forward to the Street game.”

Bridport centre-back Aston Butcher returns but Lloyd Beals and Ryan Dovell (both knee) will be assessed.
