MANAGER Eddie Howe revealed defender Adam Smith would miss Cherries’ home clash with Liverpool tomorrow (3pm).

The full-back picked up an ankle problem during the 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Tuesday and was seen leaving Selhurst Park in a medical protective boot.

Howe, who will also be without Joshua King (hamstring) and Steve Cook (wrist), remains unsure of the duration of Smith’s injury.

He said: “Adam Smith will miss out, he picked up an ankle injury. I don’t know how serious that is at the moment.

“Josh King will miss out. Steve Cook will miss out, he is seeing a specialist today.”

Speaking further on the club’s injury issues, Howe added: “That’s probably the most difficult aspect of things at the moment.

“For a year now we have had a lot of injuries and we haven’t been able to get a lot of the players back fit that have picked up injuries.

“They’ve picked up secondary problems and it hasn’t been plain sailing for us on a number of injuries.

“That’s really hampered our abilities to show the strength of the squad. We do have a really, really good squad but we haven’t seen that this year.”

Winger Harry Wilson is also unavailable to feature against his parent club this weekend.
