DORCHESTER Paralympian Paul Blake has announced his decision to "move on from athletics".
Blake, who won 800m World Championship gold in the T36 category last year, is also the reigning Olympic champion over 400m.
A cerebral palsy sufferer, Blake won World Championship golds in the 800m in 2013 and 2015, to add to 400m gold in 2011.
At London 2012, he also secured silver and bronze in the 400m and 800m respectively.
In an announcement on Twitter, Blake also paid tribute to his coach Rob Ellchuk.
He said: "What a blast these past 10 years have been time for me to move on from athletics massive thank you to my coach @rob1166 @MANIathletics I know I wasn’t easy at times but you taught me lots."
