BALTI Sports’ boss Marco Nott is hopeful of doing the double over bogey side Bridport Reserves ahead of their Dorset Premier League derby at Weymouth College tomorrow (2pm).
Nott’s men took a rare 2-0 victory from St Mary’s Field in August, with midfielder Ethan Devaney and striker Ricky Lane netting.
However, Balti may have to wait for their shot at the double, with sodden goalmouths and touchlines at their Cranford Avenue home causing concerns over the fixture’s viability.
“I’d be amazed if the game’s on this week,” Nott told Echosport.
“But we had a good win up there at the start of the season.
“We’re on good form at the moment, so hoping to carry on where we left off.
“It’s not been pretty, but with the pitches and weather conditions we’ve just been trying to get three points.
“I looked at the pitch (on Wednesday) and I’d be really surprised if it’s on, but fingers crossed.
“It’s the goalmouths and the touchlines. The rest of the pitch isn’t too bad – I just can’t see it recovering, but hopefully it does.”
Balti welcome back midfielder Ryan Dovell, but Lloyd Beals (unavailable), Andy Nott (ankle) and Che Curran (league XI game) miss out.
